I recently had my car inspected and of corse it failed. The garage is trying to tell me I have a bad left front balljoint , bad left front marker light and a bad right rear marker light.

The left front marker light I knew about and I asked them to replace. The right rear one got me suspicious because I don't remeber my car even having marker lights in the rear. So I took it home and told them I'd fix it myself. My family owned and operated a garage for 30 years and I grew up working on cars trucks and anything you can think of. Once I got it home and turned on the lights I realized I don't have rear markers they are just reflectors no wiring going anywhere near them at all.

They tried to charge me 86 buck for a balljoint no not to put it in just the part. I bought it a Autozone for 14.99 and out of curosity I called a dealer and they only want 40 bucks for a OEM part. Talk about price gouging. I'm going to replace it this weekend I'll let you know if it's even bad at all.
